Statement

My ESL experience is often a juggle between two personalities, navigating my introverted 'Taiwanese-ness' and my expressive 'American wanna-be' persona.

Playing with scale and vibrant colors, contrasting stiff postures with my established dog figure as the central character,
I aim to convey the sense of awkwardness that frequently accompanies my daily life as an outsider. As I chuckle nervously
through social interactions, I also experience a sense of liberation from my past in the chaotic diversity of NYC
and found comfort in occupying this in-between states.
